Bramhall School of Dancing was established in 1983 by Mrs Helen Gray. Mrs Jen Murray joined the BSD teaching team in 2009 and took over as principal of the school in 2016. At BSD we welcome girls and boys from the age of 3 years, offering examinations in ballet, tap, modern and national dance through the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance), ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) and IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association). Alongside syllabus work and examinations, students can participate in many events throughout the year; shows, ballet performances, national displays, competitions and festivals. We also run an annual summer school each August for students aged 5-18 years. The school plays an active role in the community, participating in many local displays and charity events. Originally specialising in classical ballet the school now offers a large range of class disciplines;
