National

The school follows the ISTD syllabus for national folk dance. These classes encourage dancers to work with others and explore the history and culture of dance styles from around the world. National classes are great fun for the students and we are regularly asked to perform at festivals and community events. Classes start at primary level (age 5+) with examinations available up to vocational level.

Spanish dance is a unique addition to our class repertoire. Here students explore the distinctive style and rhythmic patterns of regional, flamenco and classical Spanish dance. Students also learn to play the castanets, mastering the coordination of playing these musical instruments whilst dancing.
